Why Buy a 2013 Ford Transmission from Auto Power Source
2013 was the year Ford's police and family-car lineup turned over. The Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility arrived to replace the Crown Victoria, built on the Taurus and Explorer with the 3.5L, 3.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost on the 6F-series six-speeds. The Fusion and Escape were all-new with 1.6L and 2.0L EcoBoost engines, the Fusion added Hybrid and Energi versions, and the C-Max Hybrid and Energi came to the U.S. on the same HF35 eCVT. The Taurus gained a 2.0L EcoBoost, the Focus ST brought a 2.0L turbo with a six-speed manual, and the Shelby GT500 moved to the 5.8L with the TR-6060. Our 219 verified 2013 Ford transmissions cover all of it: the 6F35/6F50/6F55, the E-Series 4R75E and 5R110W, the 6R140 TorqShift, the 6R80, the HF35, the PowerShift and the manuals.
Every 2013 Ford transmission we sell has been pulled from a low-mileage donor vehicle, cataloged by VIN, and held in our climate-controlled warehouse pending sale. Each unit goes through our six-step inspection — VIN-matching against your vehicle, Shift-Testing through every gear under load, noise verification, full visual inspection of case, pan and bellhousing, multi-angle photography for your approval, and palletized freight. Rejected units never reach the buyer.
You pay a fraction of dealer-new pricing for the same Ford engineering, ship free on a heavy-duty pallet anywhere in the continental U.S., and have 30 days from delivery to return for any reason — no restocking fees. The warranty printed on the listing — with extended coverage up to 3 years available — covers you if anything goes wrong after install. Across 100K+ engines and transmissions in stock, we hold a 0% fitment-related return rate.

2013 Ford Transmission Buying Guide
5 things to verify before buying a used 2013 Ford transmission:
-
Match the transmission ID tag and the final-drive ratio. The 2013 Taurus, Police Interceptor and Explorer units run on many ID tags — AA5P, AA8P, BA8P, BB5P, DA5P, DA8P — and the Taurus SHO is split by Performance Package (3.16 ratio) or without (2.77). Match both to the tag on your case.
-
EcoBoost and naturally aspirated units are listed separately. Behind the 3.5L the SHO, Police Interceptor EcoBoost and Flex EcoBoost carry a heavier-duty unit than the naturally aspirated 3.5L and 3.7L. Every listing says Turbo or w/o Turbo, and FWD or AWD.
-
Check the build-date split and the options on your car. Ford changed units mid-year on the 2013 Edge 2.0L EcoBoost (thru 07/29/12 or from 07/30/12) and the Mustang 5.0L manual (thru 09/23/12 or from 09/24/12). The Fusion 1.6L is split by Auto Start-Stop, the GT500 by transmission cooler.
-
Super Duty and E-Series units are listed by build. The F-250 and F-350 6R140 is listed by flange yoke or slip yoke and PTO or w/o PTO; the E-Series by 4R75E or 5R110W, engine (4.6L, 5.4L, 6.8L) and wheelbase. Each of those changes the tailhousing, output or controller.
-
Confirm the match with your own VIN before you order. Your VIN settles the transmission code, drivetrain and build split in one step. Text it to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm in writing exactly which unit fits your vehicle before you pay.
Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any unit ships.
