Why Buy a 2021 Ford Transmission from Auto Power Source
2021 brought two brand-new Fords and a new F-150. The 14th-generation F-150 kept the 10R80 ten-speed across the 2.7L, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost, 5.0L and 3.0L Power Stroke diesel, and added the 3.5L PowerBoost hybrid with a modular hybrid transmission built into the ten-speed case. The Bronco returned with the 10R60 automatic or a seven-speed manual, and the Bronco Sport arrived on the 8F-series transaxle. The Super Duty carried the 10R140 behind the 7.3L gas V8 and 6.7L Power Stroke, with 6-speed builds still listed, and the Mustang offered the 10R80, a six-speed manual, or the Shelby GT500's Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch. Our 120 verified 2021 Ford transmissions cover every one of those units.
Every 2021 Ford transmission we sell has been pulled from a low-mileage donor vehicle, cataloged by VIN, and held in our climate-controlled warehouse pending sale. Each unit goes through our six-step inspection — VIN-matching against your vehicle, Shift-Testing through every gear under load, noise verification, full visual inspection of case, pan and bellhousing, multi-angle photography for your approval, and palletized freight. Rejected units never reach the buyer.
You pay a fraction of dealer-new pricing for the same Ford engineering, ship free on a heavy-duty pallet anywhere in the continental U.S., and have 30 days from delivery to return for any reason — no restocking fees. The warranty printed on the listing — with extended coverage up to 3 years available — covers you if anything goes wrong after install. Across 100K+ engines and transmissions in stock, we hold a 0% fitment-related return rate.

2021 Ford Transmission Buying Guide
5 things to verify before buying a used 2021 Ford transmission:
-
Hybrid and gas units are listed separately. The F-150 PowerBoost, the Explorer and Police Interceptor Utility 3.3L hybrid and the Escape Hybrid and Plug-In each use a hybrid transmission that will not swap with the gas unit. Every listing says Hybrid or w/o Hybrid.
-
Super Duty units are listed by speeds, PTO and fuel. The 2021 F-250 and F-350 are listed as 10-speed or 6-speed, PTO or w/o PTO, gasoline or diesel, 4x2 or 4x4, and by ID tag (LC3P-7000-AB, CB, EB, GB, KB, LB/LC). Each of those changes the case, the tailhousing or the calibration.
-
Match the ID tag and drivetrain on F-150 and Transit units. F-150 ten-speeds are split by engine, 4x2 or 4x4, police package and auto stop-start (ML3P-7000-DA, FA, GA, HA, NA, PA, TB). Transit units are split by VIN 8th digit (8 or G, Turbo) and RWD or AWD.
-
Check the build-date and engine splits on the smaller Fords. The 2021 Escape Hybrid AWD changed at 10/05/21 (thru or from 10/06/21); the Escape, Bronco Sport and Transit Connect are listed by engine size; the Expedition by column or rotary-dial shift.
-
Confirm the match with your own VIN before you order. Your VIN settles the transmission code, drivetrain and build split in one step. Text it to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm in writing exactly which unit fits your vehicle before you pay.
Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any unit ships.
