Why Buy a 2019 Ford Transmission from Auto Power Source
2019 sat right on a Ford changeover line. The Ranger came back to the U.S. with the 2.3L EcoBoost and the 10R80, and the F-150 added the 3.0L Power Stroke diesel — every F-150 engine but the 3.3L now ran the ten-speed. The refreshed Edge dropped its six-speed for the 8F-series eight-speed, and the Transit Connect's new 2.0L got the eight-speed too. At the other end it was the last year for the Taurus, the Police Interceptor Sedan and the fifth-generation Explorer, all still on the 6F-series six-speed, and the Transit van stayed on the 6R80 for one more year before moving to the ten-speed. Our 171 verified 2019 Ford transmissions cover every one of those splits: the 6F-series, 6R80, 6R140 TorqShift, 10R80, 8F35/8F57, the HF35 hybrid, the PowerShift and the manuals.
Every 2019 Ford transmission we sell has been pulled from a low-mileage donor vehicle, cataloged by VIN, and held in our climate-controlled warehouse pending sale. Each unit goes through our six-step inspection — VIN-matching against your vehicle, Shift-Testing through every gear under load, noise verification, full visual inspection of case, pan and bellhousing, multi-angle photography for your approval, and palletized freight. Rejected units never reach the buyer.
You pay a fraction of dealer-new pricing for the same Ford engineering, ship free on a heavy-duty pallet anywhere in the continental U.S., and have 30 days from delivery to return for any reason — no restocking fees. The warranty printed on the listing — with extended coverage up to 3 years available — covers you if anything goes wrong after install. Across 100K+ engines and transmissions in stock, we hold a 0% fitment-related return rate.

2019 Ford Transmission Buying Guide
5 things to verify before buying a used 2019 Ford transmission:
-
Match the transmission ID tag and the final-drive ratio. The 2019 Explorer, Taurus and Police Interceptor units run on several ID tags — DA5P, DA8P, FB5P — and several ratios (2.77, 3.16, 3.36, 3.51). Every listing carries the ID and, where Ford split it, the ratio. Match both to the tag on your case.
-
EcoBoost and naturally aspirated units are listed separately. Behind the 3.5L the Taurus SHO, Police Interceptor and Explorer EcoBoost carry a different unit than the naturally aspirated 3.5L, and the 2.3L EcoBoost Explorer has its own. Every listing says Turbo or w/o Turbo, and FWD or AWD.
-
On the F-150, the engine decides the gearbox. The 2019 F-150 3.3L still used the 6R80; the 2.7L, 3.0L diesel, 3.5L and 5.0L used the 10R80. Each is listed by engine and by 4x2 or 4x4 — a ten-speed will not go behind a 3.3L without a full conversion.
-
Super Duty and Transit units are listed by build. The F-250 and F-350 6R140 is listed by flange yoke or slip yoke and PTO or w/o PTO, with its HC3P or JC3P ID; the Transit 6R80 by engine and wheelbase, with the 4-bolt output flange called out on the 3.7L. Each of those changes the tailhousing, output or calibration.
-
Confirm the match with your own VIN before you order. Your VIN settles the transmission code, drivetrain and build split in one step. Text it to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm in writing exactly which unit fits your vehicle before you pay.
Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any unit ships.
