Payment Authorization
Your order is confirmed and logged.
We stand by our used transmissions. Each one comes with a simple, clear warranty to give you peace of mind from the moment you order — and you see HD photos of your exact unit before it ever ships.
Coverage length depends on the transmission's manufacturing era — newer units carry longer warranties because their components have aged less. Some premium parts qualify for up to 36 months of coverage.
Your warranty replaces the unit. It does not pay your shop. Labor coverage is a separate, optional plan you buy once, before the transmission ships — and you choose the amount, so it matches the job your shop has actually quoted rather than some figure we picked for you. If a covered failure is confirmed, that amount is paid toward your installation labor.
| Labor covered on an approved claim | Your one-time cost |
|---|---|
| $250 | $50 |
| $500 | $100 |
| $1,000 | $200 |
| $1,500 | $300 |
| $2,000 | $400 |
| $2,500 | $500 |
Choose your tier before dispatch. Labor coverage cannot be added once the unit has shipped, and never after a fault has appeared. The figure you pick is a fixed cap paid once against a documented labor invoice — it is not an hourly rate and it is not open-ended.
Labor coverage follows the same boundary as the warranty itself: the internal failure of the unit we supplied.
We pay labor on evidence, not on opinion. A claim on this plan needs the fault isolated to the unit itself, beyond argument:
Finding the fault is your shop's time and you pay for it when it happens. If your shop needs two or three hours to diagnose, that is your cost on the day, whatever the outcome.
If the diagnosis confirms our unit failed and the claim is approved, that diagnostic time is credited back to you out of the labor amount you are covered for. If the unit turns out to be sound, the diagnostic stays with you. That is the trade that makes labor coverage possible at all: we pay when the part is at fault, and we are not funding open-ended investigation of everything else on the vehicle.
Three categories cannot be written for labor at any tier:
This is an underwriting limit, not a comment on the part. These units are still sold and still carry the standard parts warranty in full — labor simply cannot be added to them.
Every order follows a strict 6-step fulfillment process. Nothing leaves our facility until you've seen HD photos of your exact unit and approved them in writing.

Palletizing & Freight Dispatch
Strapped, wrapped, and shipped — typically 3–5 business days in transit.
If you review the pre-shipment photos and reject the part before freight dispatch, you receive a 100% full refund — zero cancellation or restocking fees.
Once you've given written photo approval and the carrier has dispatched your shipment, actual outbound and return freight costs (approximately $350–$400 each way) are non-refundable and will be deducted from any refund.
Four clauses every buyer should read before signing for delivery. Plain language, no surprises.
You can cancel your order within 24 hours of payment and get a full refund. You also get a full refund at any point before dispatch if you reject the pre-shipment photos (see Article II).
After 24 hours, we begin preparing your transmission for shipment. If you cancel after this time for any other reason, the following charges will apply:
Let us know about any visible damage, fitment discrepancy, or issue in writing within 30 days from the date of purchase, with the unit still uninstalled and in its original delivered condition. We can't take returns after 30 days from the date of purchase.
All returns require a written Return Authorization (RMA) from us before the part ships back. Returns sent without an RMA cannot be accepted at our dock.
Please note: If you send the transmission back even though it was delivered in good shape (changed mind, ordered wrong part, no issue found), it counts as a canceled order. In that case the 20% restocking fee applies and round-trip freight remains your responsibility.
Check out our Return Policy here.
Inspect the crate and unit before signing the carrier's Bill of Lading (BOL). The driver must wait while you or your mechanic check for case cracks, broken ears, or bent components.
Transmission failure after installation is most often caused by fluid problems, not the unit itself. To preserve coverage, your certified installer MUST:
If a unit develops a fault and the outcome is a return, it must come back to us within 30 days of the fault occurring. A used transmission that sits for months after a fault cannot be assessed, cannot be reconditioned, and cannot be put back into service by anyone. That is why this is a firm condition rather than a preference.
You will never be on this clock for time that belongs to us. You cannot return a unit until we have authorised it and sent you the Bill of Lading, so any period before we do that — and any delay of ours after it — does not count against you. We arrange the collection, we cover the freight, and we tell you in writing where the 30 days stands.
What you're entitled to under the warranty, broken into five operating principles.
Install your transmission within 30 days of the invoice date to keep your return and warranty valid. If the transmission sits too long, air and moisture can cause rust and damage.
If something goes wrong after the first 30 days return window, don't worry. Your part is still covered by our warranty for up to 1 to 36 months.
We pay for shipping if your return is approved under warranty.
We use your VIN# to match the right transmission. Even if it comes from a different year or model, it will fit and work like the original.
If we approve your warranty claim, we will pick up the transmission and send you an inspected replacement of equal grade. A refund is issued if we cannot supply a compatible replacement within 10 business days — and if a delivered replacement is verified defective on installation, we source a second replacement or issue a full refund.
Installation must be performed by a certified professional mechanic, following every step in our checklist — cooler flush, new filter and pan gasket, correct fluid, cleared fault codes. Keep your receipts.
Every used transmission order ships as a Core Unit plus Bolt-on Accessories — packaged and sent together.
A direct, side-by-side ledger of what falls inside the warranty boundary — and what stays outside it. No fine print.
Our warranty covers essential internal components only:
Cooler flush, new filter and pan gasket, brand-new manufacturer-specified fluid, cleared ECU/TCU codes — performed by a certified mechanic, with receipts retained.
If any of the following occurs, warranty protection is forfeited. Read carefully — this is the part that costs people coverage.
Skipping the pre-installation checklist
Overheating or low fluid damage
Doing any repairs or modifications not authorized by us
Wrong fluid spec, low level, or contaminated fluid — verifiable on teardown; automatic void
Not returning a unit with a reported fault within 30 days of the fault occurring — see Clause E
Not replacing the transmission filter and pan gasket, or skipping the cooler-line flush during installation
Improper storage before installation — rust, corrosion, or exposure damage
Returning a part without a Return Authorization, in a condition different from how it was delivered, or with missing parts
Contact us by phone, text, or email with the following details ready:

Clear terms, agreed in writing at checkout — so there's never a dispute about what was promised.
By completing a purchase on AutoPowerSource.com, you acknowledge and agree to this warranty, the return terms above, and our full Warranty Terms & Conditions. Your checkout agreement, written pre-shipment photo approval, and signed delivery receipt form the record of the transaction.
Payment disputes for free courtesy accessories, buyer's remorse, or transit damage signed for on a clean BOL are outside the scope of this warranty; these matters are resolved under the return and claim procedures above, and disputed charges will be contested with the transaction records described here.
Your legal rights: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. See our Warranty Terms & Conditions for full details on limitations, transferability, and dispute resolution.
A used transmission isn't a phone case. It's a major decision — and the people behind your warranty know it. Every claim is read by a real specialist, not a queue.
