1. Confirm the exact transmission tag. Acura uses ID tags on the case to identify the precise variant. The same model year vehicle can ship with multiple transmission options.
2. FWD and AWD versions are not interchangeable. Even if the case looks similar, output shaft geometry and final drive differ. Always specify your drivetrain.
3. For CVT applications, ask about service history. CVT longevity depends heavily on regular fluid service. Ask about prior fluid replacement intervals.
4. For dual-clutch and automated-manual units, verify clutch pack condition. Heavy stop-and-go traffic significantly wears DCT clutch packs; we test specifically for this.
