Match the option code, not just the gear count. 2023 Ram 1500 eight-speeds ship as 8HP70, 8HP75, and 8HP95 under option codes DFD, DFK, DFR, DFS, DFT, and DFV. Two units can both be "8-speed" and still not interchange.

Classic Style and New Style Ram 1500 are different trucks. The 5-lug Classic (DS body) and 6-lug New Style (DT body) were sold side by side in 2023. Count the wheel studs before you order.

eTorque changes the bellhousing interface. 48-volt eTorque units carry a belt-driven motor-generator; 12-volt non-eTorque units do not. They are not swappable without the matching engine and harness.
