Why Buy a 2022 Honda Transmission from Auto Power Source
2022 is the year Honda's gearbox line-up splits three ways in the same showroom, and that is exactly where 2022 orders go wrong. A Civic, an Accord LX and a CR-V 1.5T all run a belt CVT, but they are three different calibrations and three different cases. The Accord 2.0T and the Odyssey run stepped planetary automatics — ten speeds — that share nothing with a CVT. Passport, Pilot and Ridgeline run the V6 automatic. And the Accord Hybrid, CR-V Hybrid and Insight are not running a transmission in the conventional sense at all: they carry a two-motor electric drive unit that Honda lists as a CVT on the parts tag and that will not interchange with a belt CVT in either direction.
That matters for a 2022 buyer more than a case code would, because most 2022 Honda listings do not carry a case code at all — ours are described by model, by AT or MT, by displacement, and by FWD or AWD, which is how the yards tag them. So we do not guess. Every unit on this page is held against the donor record, and we match it to your VIN before you pay: the VIN settles belt CVT against hybrid e-CVT, 1.5L turbo against 2.0L, and FWD against the i-VTM4 rear output on the Passport, Pilot, CR-V and HR-V listings where both are in stock.
All 19 units here are genuine used OEM Honda transmissions pulled from low-mileage donor vehicles, catalogued on arrival and held in our climate-controlled warehouse. Every gear is shift-tested under load by ASE-certified technicians before a unit is cleared for sale, CVT and hybrid drive units get a fluid-condition and belt or clutch-pack inspection, and nothing ships until you have seen multi-angle photographs of the exact unit and approved it. Freight is free to all 50 states, the warranty is included, and there is a 30-day money-back window on top of it.

2022 Honda Transmission Buying Guide
5 things to verify before buying a used 2022 Honda transmission:
-
Know which of the three machines you are buying. A 2022 Honda can carry a belt CVT, a stepped planetary automatic, a V6 automatic, a 6-speed manual or a two-motor hybrid drive unit. They look similar in a photograph and are not interchangeable. The model and trim narrow it; the VIN confirms it.
-
Do not cross the hybrid line. The Accord Hybrid, CR-V Hybrid and Insight drive units are listed as CVT but are electric two-motor assemblies. A belt CVT from a 1.5L turbo CR-V will not run behind a 2.0L hybrid, and the reverse is equally true — this is the single most common 2022 Honda mis-order.
-
Match the displacement, not just the model. The 2022 Civic runs 1.5L turbo and 2.0L CVTs with different calibrations, and the Accord runs a CVT behind the 1.5L turbo and a 10-speed automatic behind the 2.0L turbo. Same nameplate, same year, different gearbox.
-
Settle FWD against AWD before you order. CR-V, HR-V, Passport and Pilot are all listed here in both drives. The AWD unit carries the rear-drive output; fitting the wrong one means the transfer provision does not exist. Our Ridgeline listing gives no drive in the title at all, so that one is VIN-only.
-
Confirm the match with your own VIN before you order. Your VIN settles the transmission code, drivetrain and build split in one step. Text it to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm in writing exactly which unit fits your vehicle before you pay.
Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any unit ships.
