2011 Used Ram Transmissions For Sale

22 verified 2011 Ram transmissions are on the shelf — 18 automatics and 4 manuals. The stock runs 8 units in the Truck 1500 Series, 8 in the 3500 Series and 6 in the 2500 Series, and this year the trap sits in the 1500: four of its units are the same 4X2 5.7L automatic, separated only by final drive ratio — 4.10, 3.92, 3.55 or 3.21. Every one is VIN-matched to your vehicle, shift-tested by ASE-certified technicians, photographed before shipment, and backed by up to a 3-year warranty plus 30-day money-back. Pick your 2011 Ram model to see exact fitments in stock. The one that catches people out this year is the Truck 1500 Series, where four separate units are all 4X2 5.7L automatics and only the final drive ratio tells them apart. Text us your VIN and a specialist confirms the match.

Why Buy a 2011 Ram Transmission from Auto Power Source

Every 2011 Ram transmission on this page was recovered from a low-mileage donor truck, cataloged against its donor VIN, and held in our climate-controlled warehouse pending sale. Nothing ships until it has cleared our six-step inspection — VIN-matching, shift testing, a road-and-shift-quality check, full visual inspection, multi-angle photography, and palletized freight.

Our ASE-certified technicians shift-test every gear and confirm clean engagement under load before a 2011 Ram transmission is cleared for sale. You pay a fraction of dealer-new pricing for the same Ram engineering, ship free on a heavy-duty pallet anywhere in the continental U.S., and get up to a 3-year warranty plus 30-day money-back. What 2011 asks of you is a number rather than a code: the 1500 turns on final drive ratio if you are 4X2 and on displacement if you are 4X4, the 2500 turns on fuel, and the 3500 turns on body style. Text your VIN and we will confirm.

Your 2011 Ram Transmission Options: Compared

Most 2011 Ram owners face four real choices when their transmission fails:

← Swipe sideways to see all columns →
Option Cost Reliability Warranty Fitment Match
Used OEM (this collection) $$$ Best Value High Up to 3 years VIN-matched
New OEM (dealer) $$$$$ 2-4× more High Manufacturer Exact
Aftermarket / Reman $$$$ Varies 6-12 mo May adapt
Junkyard $ Cheapest Unknown None DIY

Tested used OEM hits the sweet spot — same Ram engineering as new, fraction of the cost.

2011 Ram Transmission Buying Guide

  1. On a 4X2 5.7L 1500, the ratio is the whole order. This is the 2011 mistake, and it is a number rather than a name. Four of our eight 1500s are that identical truck on paper — 4X2, 5.7L, automatic — and what separates them is the final drive: 4.10, 3.92, 3.55 or 3.21. No other word in those four listings changes. A unit built for the wrong final drive will bolt in and still be wrong to drive. The figure is on the axle tag or in the build sheet; if you cannot lay hands on either, your VIN carries it.
  2. If your 1500 is a 4X4, stop hunting for a ratio. The split is asymmetric and that trips people up. Our 4X4 1500s name no ratio at all — the 5.7L and the 4.7L are each listed on displacement and drivetrain alone. So the four-way ratio question is a 4X2 problem exclusively. A 4X4 1500 order is settled the moment you name your displacement, and there is nothing further to narrow.
  3. 68RFE is the only gearbox code named anywhere in the 2011 listings. Four of the twenty-two units name a code, and all four say 68RFE — both 3500 Pickups, and the 2500 in 6.7L 4X2 and 4X4. Every other listing in the year is described by displacement and drivetrain with no code given at all. The practical consequence: the code is not the variable that decides a 2011 order. Where a listing does name the 68RFE, read it as confirmation rather than as a choice you have to make.
  4. Check whether yours is a manual — 2011 has four of them. Most of the year is automatic, but not all of it: 18 automatics and 4 manuals. The 3500 is stocked as MT 4X2 and MT 4X4, and the 2500 matches it with an MT 4X2 and an MT 4X4 — all four on the 6.7L. Manual units share nothing with their automatic siblings, so confirm the pedal count before you compare prices.
  5. The notation is not consistent across the year — do not read meaning into it. Every 1500 listing writes the automatic as (AT) in brackets; every 2500 and 3500 writes it as a bare AT. It is the same thing spelled two ways, an artifact of how the lines were cataloged rather than a difference in the part. Do not rule out a listing because the punctuation does not match what you typed into the search box.

Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any transmission ships.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the warranty on a 2011 Ram transmission?
Up to 3 years, depending on the specific unit. The exact warranty term is listed on each product page.
What does shift-tested mean?
ASE-certified technicians run the unit through every gear and verify clean engagement and shift quality under load before the transmission is cleared for sale.
How long until delivery?
Prep and ship time is 3-5 business days. Transit time is 2-3 business days via freight carrier after dispatch.
Can I see photos before I buy?
Yes. Multi-angle photos of the actual unit are sent before payment.
Do I need my VIN?
Yes. 2011 has one question you cannot answer by looking at the truck: if you drive a 4X2 5.7L 1500, four of our units match that description exactly and only the final drive ratio — 4.10, 3.92, 3.55 or 3.21 — tells them apart. Your VIN resolves the ratio along with the displacement and drivetrain, and settles the order in one step.
What if I do not approve the photos?
Every dollar back — no restocking fees, no return freight charges.
Why is this cheaper than the dealer?
It is the same Ram-engineered OEM unit, recovered from a low-mileage donor vehicle rather than built new. You skip the new-part markup and still get VIN-matching, shift testing and up to a 3-year warranty.
When can I reach your team?
24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday, at 1-877-313-8995 — or text your VIN any time and we will reply with options.

Our 6-Step Inspection & Shipping Process

Every 2011 Ram transmission we ship has been through these six steps:

1. VIN-Matching
We match the donor VIN to your VIN to confirm the displacement, drivetrain, body style and — on a 4X2 1500 — the final drive ratio that decides a 2011 Ram fit.
2. Tested & Verified
ASE-certified technicians shift-test the unit through every gear and verify clean engagement under load.
3. Shift & Road Verification
Units are run to confirm smooth up- and down-shifts, correct torque-converter lockup and no slip — catches wear static tests miss.
4. Visual Inspection
Every accessible component is inspected: bellhousing, valve body, pan and seals, tailshaft, cooler line ports and sensor harnesses.
5. Photograph & Catalog
Multi-angle photos sent to you BEFORE we ship, for your approval.
6. Palletize & Ship
Strapped on a heavy-duty wooden pallet, shipped via freight at no charge.
