Infiniti Engines We Cover

Real Infiniti engines from our warehouse, tested and ready to ship. A single model year can ship with more than one engine, so match by engine code rather than by vehicle — text us your VIN and we will confirm it.

Used Infiniti VQ37VHR 3.7L V6 engine
VQ37VHR 3.7L V6
G37 (2008–2013), Q50 and Q60 3.7 (2014–2015), M37 and Q70 (2011–2019), EX37 and QX50 (2013–2017), FX37 and QX70 (2013–2017). Our deepest Infiniti line — the VVEL 3.7, listed by VIN code and by RWD (4x2) or AWD (4x4) because the oil pan, mounts and front-drive hardware differ between the two.
Used Infiniti VQ35HR 3.5L V6 engine
VQ35HR 3.5L V6
G35 (2007–2008), M35 (2007–2010), EX35 (2008–2012), FX35 (2009–2012), and the Q50, Q70 and QX60 Hybrid (2014–2019). The high-revving twin-throttle HR — a different block, heads and intake from the earlier VQ35DE of the same displacement, listed by VIN code and drive layout.
Used Infiniti VQ35DE 3.5L V6 engine
VQ35DE 3.5L V6
G35 (2003–2006), FX35 (2003–2008), M35 (2006), I35 (2002–2004), QX4 (2001–2003), JX35 and QX60 (2013–2020). The original VQ35 — listed by VIN code because the RWD G35 and FX35 unit and the transverse I35, JX35 and QX60 unit share a code and nothing in the mounts, pan or accessory drive.
Used Infiniti VK56DE / VK56VD 5.6L V8 engine
VK56DE / VK56VD 5.6L V8
QX56 (2004–2013), QX80 (2014–2024), M56 and Q70 5.6 (2011–2019). The port-injected VK56DE of the early QX56 and the direct-injected VK56VD of 2011-on are listed separately — different heads, fuel system and controllers — and the truck and sedan units of the same code do not swap.
Used Infiniti VR30DDTT 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 engine
VR30DDTT 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6
Q50 3.0t and Red Sport 400 (2016–2024), Q60 3.0t and Red Sport 400 (2017–2022). The twin-turbo 3.0 in 300 hp and 400 hp tunes — same code, different turbos and calibration — listed by VIN code, output and RWD or AWD.
Used Infiniti 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 (M274 / KR20DDET VC-Turbo) engine
2.0L Turbo Inline-4 (M274 / KR20DDET VC-Turbo)
Q50 2.0t (2016–2019), QX30 (2017–2019), QX50 (2019–2024), QX55 (2022–2024). Two unrelated engines share the badge — the Mercedes-sourced M274 of the Q50 2.0t and QX30, and the variable-compression KR20DDET of the QX50 and QX55 — listed by VIN code and build-date split.
Used Infiniti VH45DE / VH41DE / VK45DE 4.5L and 4.1L V8 engine
VH45DE / VH41DE / VK45DE 4.5L and 4.1L V8
Q45 (1990–2006), M45 (2003–2010), FX45 (2003–2008). Three V8 generations behind one badge — the 4.5 VH45DE of the first Q45, the 4.1 VH41DE of 1997–2001, and the 4.5 VK45DE of 2002-on in the Q45, M45 and FX45 — listed by VIN code and the build-date splits Infiniti used mid-year.
Used Infiniti SR20DE 2.0L, VG30 / VQ30 3.0L and VG33 3.3L (G20, J30, M30, I30, QX4) engine
SR20DE 2.0L, VG30 / VQ30 3.0L and VG33 3.3L (G20, J30, M30, I30, QX4)
G20 (1991–2002), M30 (1990–1992), J30 (1993–1997), I30 (1996–2001), QX4 3.3 (1997–2000). The 1990s Infiniti engines — the SR20DE four of the G20, the VG30E and VG30DE of the M30 and J30, the VQ30DE of the I30, and the VG33E of the QX4 — listed by VIN code and by the thru and from build-date splits on the G20 and Q45.
Used Infiniti VK50VE 5.0L V8 and VQ25HR 2.5L V6 engine
VK50VE 5.0L V8 and VQ25HR 2.5L V6
FX50 (2009–2013), QX70 5.0 (2014–2017), G25 (2011–2012). The VVEL 5.0 V8 of the FX50 and QX70 and the 2.5 V6 of the G25 sedan — small lines, listed by VIN code and RWD or AWD.

Why Buy a Used Infiniti Engine from Auto Power Source

Infiniti has reused the same displacement across engines that do not interchange — a 3.5 is a VQ35DE or a twin-throttle VQ35HR depending on the year, a 2.0 turbo is a Mercedes M274 or a variable-compression KR20DDET depending on the model, a 4.5 V8 is a VH45DE or a VK45DE with a 4.1 in between, and a 3.0 is a 1990s VG30 or a twin-turbo VR30DDTT. Every product on this page is titled by VIN code (the 4th digit on Infiniti), by RWD or AWD, and by the thru and from build-date splits Infiniti used mid-year. Our 419 verified Infiniti engines cover the whole run: the VQ37VHR in the G37, Q50, Q60, Q70, QX50 and QX70, the VQ35HR in the G35, M35, EX35, FX35 and hybrids, the VQ35DE in the G35, FX35, I35, JX35 and QX60, the VK56 in the QX56, QX80 and M56, the VR30DDTT in the Q50 and Q60, the 2.0 turbos in the Q50, QX30, QX50 and QX55, the V8s in the Q45, M45 and FX45, and the 1990s G20, M30, J30, I30 and QX4 engines.

Every Infiniti engine we sell has been pulled from a low-mileage donor vehicle, cataloged by VIN, and held in our climate-controlled warehouse pending sale. Each unit goes through our six-step inspection — VIN-matching against the donor and against your vehicle, compression and leak-down testing of every cylinder, noise verification, full visual inspection of block, heads and timing cover, multi-angle photography for your approval, and palletized freight. VQ units get a timing-chain and gallery-gasket check, VR30 and 2.0 turbo units get a turbo-shaft and PCV inspection, and VK56 units get a timing-guide and exhaust-manifold check. Rejected units never reach the buyer.

You pay a fraction of dealer-new pricing for the same Nissan engineering, ship free on a heavy-duty pallet anywhere in the continental U.S., and have 30 days from delivery to return for any reason — no restocking fees. The warranty printed on the listing — with extended coverage up to 3 years available — covers you if anything goes wrong after install. Across 100K+ engines and transmissions in stock, we hold a 0% fitment-related return rate.

Your Infiniti Engine Options: Compared

Most Infiniti owners face four real choices when the engine fails:

← Swipe sideways to see all columns →
Option Cost Reliability Warranty Fitment Match
Used OEM (this collection) $$$ Best Value High — tested Included VIN-matched
New OEM (dealer) $$$$$ 2-4× more High Manufacturer Exact
Aftermarket / Reman $$$$ Varies 6-12 mo May adapt
Junkyard $ Cheapest Unknown None DIY

Tested used OEM hits the sweet spot — same engineering as new, fraction of the cost.

Infiniti Engine Buying Guide

5 things to verify before buying a used Infiniti engine:

  1. Read the VIN 4th digit — on Infiniti it is the engine code, and displacement alone is not enough. Infiniti encodes the engine in the fourth character of the VIN, and every product on this page is titled by it. A 3.5 is VIN C (VQ35DE) or VIN A (VQ35HR); a 2.0 turbo is VIN C on a QX30 and a different engine on a QX50; a 4.5 is VIN B in three generations. Match the code and the year first.
  2. VQ35DE and VQ35HR are different engines. The 2007-on HR carries a taller block, twin throttle bodies, a different intake and its own controller, and will not run a 2003–2006 G35 or FX35. The RWD and transverse VQ35DE units also differ in pan, mounts and accessory drive. The listings name the code and the model — match both.
  3. RWD and AWD units are listed separately. The G37x, EX35, FX35 and M35x AWD engines carry a different oil pan, front differential mount and front-drive hardware from the 4x2 unit of the same year. Every listing says 4x2 (RWD) or 4x4 (AWD) — match it to your drivetrain.
  4. Build-date and output splits decide the bolt-up. Infiniti changed engines mid-year — the G20 is listed thru 12/93 or from 1/94, the Q45 thru 10/99 or from 11/99, the QX30 thru or from 03/31/18 — and the Q50 3.0t and Red Sport 400 share a code but not turbos or calibration. The listings carry the split and we match it to your VIN and build date.
  5. Confirm the match with your own VIN before you order. Your VIN settles the engine code, drivetrain and build split in one step. Text it to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm in writing exactly which unit fits your vehicle before you pay.

Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any unit ships.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the warranty on a used Infiniti engine?
Every Infiniti engine ships with a warranty included — the standard term follows the model year (1 month for 1990, 3 months for 1991–2000, 6 months for 2001 and newer) and is printed on each product page. Extended coverage of up to 3 years is available at checkout.
What does ASE-tested mean?
ASE-certified technicians compression-test every cylinder and run leak-down evaluation on engines; transmissions are Shift-Tested through all gears under load. Plus noise & smoke verification, visual inspection, and multi-angle photography before shipment.
How long until delivery?
Prep and ship time is 3-5 business days. Transit time is 2-3 business days after dispatch via freight carrier — typically 5-8 business days from order to delivery.
Can I see photos before I buy?
Yes. Multi-angle photos of the actual unit are sent before payment. If you do not approve the photos, you get every dollar back — no restocking fees, no return freight charges.
Do I need my VIN?
Yes — on Infiniti the fourth VIN digit is the engine code, and it separates a VQ35DE from a VQ35HR, an M274 2.0 turbo from a KR20 VC-Turbo, and a VH45DE from a VK45DE. The VIN also fixes the build date for the thru and from splits and the RWD or AWD layout. Text your VIN to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm the exact engine, including valid Nissan donors.
Will a Nissan engine fit my Infiniti?
Often yes, when the engine code, year and drive layout match. The G35 and FX35 VQ35DE is the 350Z engine, the JX35 and QX60 VQ35DE is the Pathfinder engine, the G37 and Q50 VQ37VHR is the 370Z engine, the QX56 and QX80 VK56 is the Armada and Titan engine, the QX50 KR20 is the Altima VC-Turbo engine, and the G20 SR20DE is the Sentra SE-R engine. The Q50 2.0t and QX30 M274 and the Q45 and M45 V8s have no Nissan donor. Text your VIN and we will confirm which donors are valid.
Why cheaper than dealer new?
Used OEM from low-mileage donor vehicles. Same Infiniti engineering as factory new at a fraction of the cost — dealers are typically 2-4x our pricing, and many older units are no longer available new at all.

Our 6-Step Inspection & Shipping Process

Every Infiniti engine we ship has been through these six steps:

1. VIN-Matching
We match the donor VIN to your VIN to confirm the engine code (4th VIN digit), DE or HR build, RWD or AWD layout, build-date split, and hybrid fit.
2. Tested & Verified
ASE-certified technicians compression-test every cylinder and run leak-down evaluation. VQ units get a timing-chain and gallery-gasket check; VR30 and 2.0 turbo units get a turbo-shaft and PCV inspection; VK56 units get a timing-guide and exhaust-manifold check.
3. Noise & Smoke Verification
Units are run to verify normal mechanical sound and clean operation — catches internal wear static tests miss.
4. Visual Inspection
Every accessible component is inspected: turbos, manifolds, valve covers, housings, accessories, sensor harnesses.
5. Photograph & Catalog
Multi-angle photos sent to you BEFORE we ship for your approval.
6. Palletize & Ship
Strapped on a heavy-duty wooden pallet, shipped via freight at no charge.
