Count the lug holes on a 1500. 2019 is a split model year: Ram sold the outgoing Classic Style 1500 (5 Lug Wheel) alongside the New Style 1500 (6 Lug Wheel). They are different trucks and take different transmissions — the single most common 2019 ordering mistake, and matching the model year alone will never catch it.

Read the build date on a Promaster. 2019 is the year a mid-season change split the Promaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 into Thru 03/01/19 and From 03/02/19 units. Two vans of the same model year and the same displacement can take different transmissions depending on which side of 02 March 2019 they were assembled — check the build date on the door-jamb sticker, not just the model year.

On a New Style 1500 5.7L, check 48-volt vs 12-volt. The eTorque (48 Volt System) and Non-eTorque (12 Volt System) trucks are cataloged separately because the mild-hybrid units differ electrically and will not drop into a 12-volt truck. On our 2019 4X2 stock these also carry an Opt DFR or DFV sales code; the 4X4 units are listed without one.
