Why Buy a 2016 Nissan Engine from Auto Power Source
Each 2016 listing leads with the Nissan engine code, because 2016 is the year the VIN letter stops being a shortcut. The 4th digit A appears on the MR16DDT, QR25DE, VQ35DE, VQ40DE, VQ37VHR, VK56DE, MRA8DE and one Titan XD V8; C on the HR16DE, MR20DE and QR25DER; B on the VQ40DE, QR25DE, VQ35DE and the other Titan XD. The letter is not an engine until you know the nameplate and displacement. Text your VIN to +1-307-441-5554 and we confirm the fit before you pay.
The Juke is eleven of the forty-two units and every one is the 1.6L MR16DDT: seven on VIN A and four on VIN D, nine CVT and two manual, across S, SV, SL and Nismo trims plus one Canada-market car. One family row, because the engine and its transverse mounting are the same; the trim and gearbox spread sits inside the row rather than fragmenting it.
We claim no cam drive anywhere on this page. Our recorded design-era rule covers the VG and E families as belt-driven and the KA, SR and GA families as chain-driven, and none of 2016's codes belongs to any of them, so extending it would be a guess rather than a derivation. We verify the hardware on the individual unit instead: a deliberate silence, not an oversight.
Neither Titan XD title carries an engine code: one gives 5.6L, 8 cylinder, gasoline, the other 5.0L diesel. We will not read a code across from the NV vans' VK56DE or name a diesel supplier the listing does not name, so that row publishes by displacement, cylinder count and fuel only. The Murano Hybrid is the opposite case: its title does give QR25DER, and we keep it apart from the plain QR25DE because the hybrid accessory drive and front cover are a different installation.
Several 2016 titles read oddly and we publish them as the yard supplied them: the Maxima carries a "(1982 Up)" suffix, the vans are spelled "Nv 1500" and "Nv 200", the Titan XD rows are prefixed "Truck-Titan Xd", and one row titled "Versa" is described as "Hatchback (note)", which we read as a Versa Note rather than re-badging it. We invent nothing and tidy nothing.
