Jaguar Transmissions We Cover

Real Jaguar transmissions from our warehouse, tested and ready to ship. A single model year can ship with more than one transmission, so match by transmission code rather than by vehicle — text us your VIN and we will confirm it.

Used Jaguar ZF 8HP70 8-Speed Automatic (5.0L and 3.0L Supercharged) transmission
ZF 8HP70 8-Speed Automatic (5.0L and 3.0L Supercharged)
XJ and XJR (2013–2019), XF, XFR and XFR-S (2013–2015), F-Type (2014–2020), XK and XKR (2013–2015), F-Pace 3.0L (2017–2020). The eight-speed behind the AJ133 5.0L and AJ126 3.0L supercharged engines — listed by 5.0L or 3.0L, RWD or AWD, and by automatic engine stop-and-start (ECO) or w/o, because the stop-start cars carry a different pump and controller.
Used Jaguar ZF 8HP45 8-Speed Automatic (2.0L Ingenium and Diesel) transmission
ZF 8HP45 8-Speed Automatic (2.0L Ingenium and Diesel)
XE (2017–2019), XF and XF Sportbrake (2017–2019), F-Pace 2.0L (2017–2020), XF 2.0L turbo (2013–2015). The light-duty eight-speed behind the 2.0L Ingenium gasoline and diesel fours — listed by gasoline or diesel, RWD or AWD, and by transmission ID (GX737000, H7A37000, DW937000) where Jaguar split the calibration.
Used Jaguar ZF 6HP26 / 6HP28 6-Speed Automatic (4.2L and 5.0L) transmission
ZF 6HP26 / 6HP28 6-Speed Automatic (4.2L and 5.0L)
XJ8, XJR, Vanden Plas and Super V8 (2004–2012), XK8, XKR and XK (2003–2012), XF and XFR (2009–2012), S-Type 3.0L and 4.2L (2003–2008). The six-speed of the AJ-V8 4.2L and early 5.0L era — listed by supercharged option or w/o, by thru or from VIN break on the 2010 XF and 2011 XK, and by exc. XKR or XFR.
Used Jaguar ZF 5HP24 5-Speed Automatic (AJ-V8 4.0L) transmission
ZF 5HP24 5-Speed Automatic (AJ-V8 4.0L)
XJ8, XJR and Vanden Plas (1998–2003), XK8 and XKR (1997–2002), S-Type 4.0L (2000–2002). The five-speed behind the first AJ-V8 — listed by supercharged option or w/o, because the XJR and XKR supercharged cars run a different converter and calibration from the naturally aspirated cars.
Used Jaguar Jatco JF506E 5-Speed Automatic (X-Type AWD) transmission
Jatco JF506E 5-Speed Automatic (X-Type AWD)
X-Type 2.5L and 3.0L (2002–2008). The transverse five-speed of the all-wheel-drive X-Type — listed by 6-152 (2.5L, V6) or 6-181 (3.0L, V6), and on the 2002 3.0L by thru or from VIN C79328, because the early and late units carry different valve bodies.
Used Jaguar X-Type 5-Speed Manual transmission
X-Type 5-Speed Manual
X-Type 2.5L and 3.0L (2002–2005). The only manual gearbox Jaguar sold in this range — a transverse five-speed with the all-wheel-drive take-off, listed simply as MT because it fits both engine sizes.
Used Jaguar ZF 4HP22 / 4HP24 4-Speed Automatic (XJ6 and XJS Straight-Six) transmission
ZF 4HP22 / 4HP24 4-Speed Automatic (XJ6 and XJS Straight-Six)
XJ6, Vanden Plas and Sovereign (1991–1997), XJS 6 Cylinder (1991–1996), XJR-S (1993). The four-speed behind the AJ6 and AJ16 4.0L straight-six — listed by 6 Cylinder, and from 1995 by w/o supercharged option, because the supercharged XJR moved to a different gearbox.
Used Jaguar GM 4L80-E 4-Speed Automatic (V12 and Supercharged XJR) transmission
GM 4L80-E 4-Speed Automatic (V12 and Supercharged XJR)
XJ12 (1994–1996), XJS 12 Cylinder (1992–1996), XJR-S 12 Cylinder (1993), XJ6 and XJR with supercharged option (1995–1997). The heavy-duty four-speed Jaguar fitted behind the 6.0L V12 and the supercharged AJ16 — listed by 12 Cylinder or supercharged option (XJR), because it shares no parts with the straight-six four-speed.
Used Jaguar ZF 9HP48 9-Speed Automatic (E-Pace) transmission
ZF 9HP48 9-Speed Automatic (E-Pace)
E-Pace 2.0L (2018–2019). The transverse nine-speed of the compact crossover, listed by transmission ID (HJ327000, KK727000) because the 2018 and 2019 units carry different mechatronics and are not interchangeable.

Why Buy a Used Jaguar Transmission from Auto Power Source

Jaguar has run a different gearbox behind almost every engine it built — a ZF four-speed behind the straight-six, a GM four-speed behind the V12 and supercharged XJR, a ZF five-speed behind the first AJ-V8, a six-speed behind the 4.2L and early 5.0L, an eight-speed behind the supercharged 5.0L and 3.0L, a second eight-speed behind the 2.0L Ingenium, a Jatco five-speed and a manual in the all-wheel-drive X-Type, and a nine-speed in the E-Pace. The same year and model can carry a supercharged or naturally aspirated unit, a RWD or AWD case, or a stop-start unit with its own pump. Every product on this page is titled by AT or MT, engine size, supercharged option or w/o, RWD or AWD, ECO stop-start or w/o, VIN break and transmission ID where Jaguar made one. Our 449 verified Jaguar transmissions cover the whole run: the ZF 8HP70 and 8HP45 eight-speeds, the 6HP26 and 6HP28 six-speeds, the 5HP24 five-speed, the X-Type Jatco automatic and manual, the straight-six four-speed, the V12 and XJR 4L80-E, and the E-Pace nine-speed.

Every Jaguar transmission we sell has been pulled from a low-mileage donor vehicle, cataloged by VIN, and held in our climate-controlled warehouse pending sale. Each unit goes through our six-step inspection — VIN-matching against the donor and against your vehicle, Shift-Testing through every gear under load, noise verification, full visual inspection of case, pan and bellhousing, multi-angle photography for your approval, and palletized freight. Eight-speed units get a mechatronic and solenoid check under load, six- and five-speed units get a valve-body and converter-clutch check, supercharged-car units have the converter verified against the donor, and AWD units have the transfer take-off inspected. Rejected units never reach the buyer.

You pay a fraction of dealer-new pricing for the same Jaguar engineering, ship free on a heavy-duty pallet anywhere in the continental U.S., and have 30 days from delivery to return for any reason — no restocking fees. The warranty printed on the listing — with extended coverage up to 3 years available — covers you if anything goes wrong after install. Across 100K+ engines and transmissions in stock, we hold a 0% fitment-related return rate.

Your Jaguar Transmission Options: Compared

Most Jaguar owners face four real choices when the transmission fails:

← Swipe sideways to see all columns →
Option Cost Reliability Warranty Fitment Match
Used OEM (this collection) $$$ Best Value High — tested Included VIN-matched
New OEM (dealer) $$$$$ 2-4× more High Manufacturer Exact
Aftermarket / Reman $$$$ Varies 6-12 mo May adapt
Junkyard $ Cheapest Unknown None DIY

Tested used OEM hits the sweet spot — same engineering as new, fraction of the cost.

Jaguar Transmission Buying Guide

5 things to verify before buying a used Jaguar transmission:

  1. Match the engine size and supercharged option first — Jaguar changed gearboxes with the engine. A 4.0L AJ-V8 car runs a five-speed, a 4.2L a six-speed, a 5.0L an eight-speed from 2013, and the supercharged XJR, XKR and XFR carry a different converter and calibration from the naturally aspirated car of the same year. Every listing says the engine size and supercharged option or w/o — match both, not the model name.
  2. RWD and AWD units are listed separately. From 2013 the XJ, XF, XE, F-Type and F-Pace were offered with all-wheel drive, and the AWD transmission carries the transfer take-off that the RWD unit does not. Every listing says RWD or AWD; a rear-drive unit will not drive an AWD car.
  3. Watch the stop-start (ECO) split on 2013–2015 cars. Jaguar introduced automatic engine stop-and-start on the 2013 XJ and XF, and the ECO transmission carries an auxiliary pump and its own controller. The listings say automatic engine stop and start (ECO) or w/o — check your build before ordering.
  4. Check the VIN break and transmission ID. The 2010 XF is listed thru VIN R59503 and from R59504, the 2011 XK thru VIN B42764, the 2002 X-Type 3.0L thru VIN C79328, and the 2016–2020 XE, XF, F-Type and E-Pace by transmission ID (GX737000, H7A37000, GX537000BB, HJ327000). Compare your VIN and the ID tag on the case to the listing.
  5. Always run the donor vehicle VIN. On Jaguar it settles the engine size, supercharged or naturally aspirated, RWD or AWD, ECO or w/o, VIN break and transmission ID in one step, and lets you verify mileage and service history before you commit. We provide it on request for any transmission in inventory.

Our ASE-certified technicians verify every one of these points against your VIN before any unit ships.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the warranty on a used Jaguar transmission?
Every Jaguar transmission ships with a warranty included — the standard term follows the model year (1 month for 1990, 3 months for 1991–2000, 6 months for 2001 and newer) and is printed on each product page. Extended coverage of up to 3 years is available at checkout.
What does ASE-tested mean?
ASE-certified technicians compression-test every cylinder and run leak-down evaluation on engines; transmissions are Shift-Tested through all gears under load. Plus noise & smoke verification, visual inspection, and multi-angle photography before shipment.
How long until delivery?
Prep and ship time is 3-5 business days. Transit time is 2-3 business days after dispatch via freight carrier — typically 5-8 business days from order to delivery.
Can I see photos before I buy?
Yes. Multi-angle photos of the actual unit are sent before payment. If you do not approve the photos, you get every dollar back — no restocking fees, no return freight charges.
Do I need my VIN?
Yes — essential on Jaguar. The same model year can carry a supercharged or naturally aspirated unit with a different converter, a RWD or AWD case, an ECO stop-start unit with its own pump, and several years are split by a VIN break or transmission ID. Text your VIN to +1-307-441-5554 and we will confirm the exact transmission, including valid Land Rover-sourced units.
Will a Land Rover transmission fit my Jaguar?
Often — Jaguar and Land Rover have shared ZF gearboxes since 2005. The 6HP26 and 6HP28 six-speeds behind the 4.2L and 5.0L match the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport of the same years, the 8HP70 behind the supercharged 5.0L and 3.0L matches the 2013-on Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and LR4, and the 8HP45 and 9HP48 match the Evoque, Discovery Sport and Velar 2.0L. The X-Type, straight-six and V12 gearboxes have no Land Rover donor. Text your VIN and we will confirm which units are valid.
Why cheaper than dealer new?
Used OEM from low-mileage donor vehicles. Same Jaguar engineering as factory new at a fraction of the cost — dealers are typically 2-4x our pricing, and many older units are no longer available new at all.
When can I reach customer service?

Our 6-Step Inspection & Shipping Process

Every Jaguar transmission we ship has been through these six steps:

1. VIN-Matching
We match the donor VIN to your VIN to confirm the engine size, supercharged or naturally aspirated, AT or MT, RWD or AWD, ECO stop-start or w/o, and any VIN break or transmission ID.
2. Tested & Verified
ASE-certified technicians Shift-Test every gear under load. Eight-speed units get a mechatronic and solenoid check; six- and five-speed units get a valve-body and converter-clutch check; supercharged-car units have the converter verified against the donor; AWD units have the transfer take-off inspected.
3. Noise & Smoke Verification
Units are run to verify normal mechanical sound and clean operation — catches internal wear static tests miss.
4. Visual Inspection
Every accessible component is inspected: turbos, manifolds, valve covers, housings, accessories, sensor harnesses.
5. Photograph & Catalog
Multi-angle photos sent to you BEFORE we ship for your approval.
6. Palletize & Ship
Strapped on a heavy-duty wooden pallet, shipped via freight at no charge.

Our Photos-Before-Shipment Guarantee
