What changes
One thing only: how long the cover lasts. Same parts-only replacement cover, same covered components (the internally lubricated and internally driven parts of the unit), coverage still begins on the date of purchase.
What does not change
Still parts-only - labor, towing, rental, storage and fluids stay excluded unless labor coverage is purchased. Bolt-on accessories remain courtesy items outside the warranty. Heat tabs still govern, and the water pump must still be replaced at installation.

Photos & cancelling Can I cancel? What does it cost?
Within 24 hours of payment: full refund, no questions. Rejecting the pre-shipment photos: full refund at any point before dispatch. Cancelling after 24 hours for any other reason: a 20% restocking fee, plus round-trip freight (about $350-400 each way) if the unit has already shipped.

Warranty What exactly does the warranty cover?
The internally lubricated, internally driven parts of the unit - block, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft and the key internal moving parts. Bolt-on accessories ship with it as free courtesy items and are not covered. Labor, fluids, towing and downtime are outside cover unless you add labor protection.

Shipping How is it shipped, and how fast?
Strapped to a heavy-duty pallet, metal-strapped and bubble-wrapped, by commercial freight (R+L, FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, TForce). Commercial address: free. Residential with liftgate: $100. Transit is typically 3-5 business days after your photo approval. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted separately.

Returns Something is wrong inside 30 days. What happens?
Tell us in writing within 30 days of purchase, unit still uninstalled. For visible damage or a warranty-covered issue we issue a Return Authorization, we arrange the pick-up and we pay the freight both ways. Approved claims get an inspected replacement of equal grade; if we cannot supply one within 10 business days, you are refunded.

Installation What ships in the crate, and what must my mechanic do?
A long block plus free bolt-on accessories. Alternator and starter may not be included. The water pump must be replaced with a new one - it is a warranty condition. Install within 30 days of purchase, by a licensed mechanic, following our pre-installation checklist. Keep the receipts.

By model year: 1990 or earlier - 1 month, 1991-2000 - 3 months, 2001 onward - 6 months. This listing carries 6 Month. Want longer? On 2005+ vehicles add 1, 2 or 3 years total for 15%, 25% or 35% of the unit price - before it ships. Coverage runs from the date of purchase and is parts-only.

Warranty Can I cover the shop labor too?
Yes, as an optional add-on chosen before dispatch. You pick the amount your shop quoted and pay one fifth of it once: $50 covers $250, $100 covers $500, up to $500 covering $2,500. Paid on an approved claim against your labor invoice. Not available on CVTs, Ford 5.4L engines or units over 15 years old.

Shipping What do I do on delivery day?
Inspect before you sign. The driver waits while you check for cracks, broken ears or bent parts. See damage? Write "RECEIVED DAMAGED - [what]" on the Bill of Lading, sign, photograph it, and send us both within 48 hours. Do not refuse the delivery - a noted acceptance protects your claim in full; a refusal without notation leaves no record.

Returns I changed my mind or ordered the wrong part. Can I return it?
Within 30 days, yes - as a no-fault return: 20% restocking fee plus the actual round-trip freight (about $350-400 each way), unit uninstalled and on its original pallet. This is exactly why we send photos first and check your VIN free: reject before it ships and it costs nothing.
