Article I · Coverage Duration

How long is the warranty?

Coverage length depends on the engine's manufacturing era — newer engines carry longer warranties because their components have aged less. Some premium parts qualify for up to 36 months of coverage.

Tier 01
Made in 1990 or earlier:
1
Month
Tier 02
Made from 1991 to 2000:
3
Months
Tier 03
Made from 2001 to 2025:
6
Months
Tier 04 · Premium
Some parts are eligible for a warranty of up to
36
Months
Tier assignment is determined by the engine's model year. Premium 36-month coverage is offered on select late-model, low-mileage units — your specialist will confirm the exact term at quote time. The warranty term stated on your invoice controls. Coverage begins on the date of purchase and is parts-only: replacement of the covered unit, with labor, towing, rental, storage, and fluid costs excluded unless a labor protection plan was purchased in writing.
Article II · Pre-Shipment Photo Approval

06
Step 6

Palletizing & Freight Dispatch

Strapped, wrapped, and shipped — typically 3–5 business days in transit.

§ Guarantee
Refund Before Shipment

100% Refund If You Reject the Photos

If you review the pre-shipment photos and reject the part before freight dispatch, you receive a 100% full refund — zero cancellation or restocking fees.

Your written photo approval is what releases your order for shipping. Nothing ships without it.
§ In Transit
Cancellation After Approval

Cancellations After Approval or In Transit

Once you've given written photo approval and the carrier has dispatched your shipment, actual outbound and return freight costs (approximately $350–$400 each way) are non-refundable and will be deducted from any refund.

Article III · Return Terms & Conditions

The fine print, without the fine print.

Four clauses every buyer should read before signing for delivery. Plain language, no surprises.

§ A · Cancellations
Clause A

Order Cancellations Policy

You can cancel your order within 24 hours of payment and get a full refund. You also get a full refund at any point before dispatch if you reject the pre-shipment photos (see Article II).

After 24 hours, we begin preparing your engine for shipment. If you cancel after this time for any other reason, the following charges will apply:

  • 20% restocking fee
  • Round-trip freight cost (approximately $350–$400 each way), if your part is already shipped
§ B · 30-Day Window
Clause B

30-Day Return Window

Let us know about any visible damage, fitment discrepancy, or issue in writing within 30 days from the date of purchase, with the unit still uninstalled and in its original delivered condition. We can't take returns after 30 days from the date of purchase.

All returns require a written Return Authorization (RMA) from us before the part ships back. Returns sent without an RMA cannot be accepted at our dock.

Please note: If you send the engine back even though it was delivered in good shape (changed mind, ordered wrong part, no issue found), it counts as a canceled order. In that case the 20% restocking fee applies and round-trip freight remains your responsibility.

Check out our Return Policy here.

§ D · Heat Tabs
Clause D

Heat Tabs — Strict Void Condition

Every engine ships with heat tabs: heat-sensitive indicators installed on the block whose center melts permanently once the engine overheats. They exist for one purpose — to detect overheating, the single most common cause of engine failure after installation.

Inspect the heat tabs as soon as the engine arrives. If any tab is missing at delivery, report it to us in writing within 48 hours, before installation, so we can record it. Tabs must remain intact, unmelted, and unaltered throughout the warranty period, and intact heat tabs are required evidence for every warranty claim.

STRICT VOID: If the heat tabs are found melted, missing, or tampered with at any point after delivery, this warranty is automatically NULL AND VOID. A melted heat tab is conclusive evidence the engine overheated in service — overheating damage is excluded from coverage, and no claim, return, or refund can be honored.

Article IV · Warranty Terms & Conditions

Five pillars of your coverage.

What you're entitled to under the warranty, broken into five operating principles.

Pillar 01 · Window

30-Day Installation Window

Install your engine within 30 days of the invoice date to keep your return and warranty valid. If the engine sits too long, air and moisture can cause rust and damage.

Pillar 02 · Coverage Term

1 to 36 Month Warranty Protection

If something goes wrong after the first 30 days return window, don't worry. Your part is still covered by our warranty for up to 1 to 36 months.

Pillar 03 · Freight

Full Shipping Costs Coverage

We pay for shipping if your return is approved under warranty.

Pillar 04 · Fitment

Compatibility Coverage

We use your VIN# to match the right engine. Even if it comes from a different year or model, it will fit and work like the original.

Pillar 05 · Recovery

Replacements & Refunds

If we approve your warranty claim, we will pick up the engine and send you a tested replacement of equal grade. A refund is issued if we cannot supply a compatible replacement within 10 business days — and if a delivered replacement is verified defective on installation, we source a second replacement or issue a full refund.

What Ships With Your Order

What's in the Crate?

Every used engine order ships as a Long Block plus Bolt-on Accessories — packaged and sent together.

1
Core Assembly

Long Block

  • Blockhead
  • Piston
  • Crankshaft
  • Camshaft
  • Internal lubricated components
i Alternator and Starter may not come with the engine. Wiring Harness can sometimes be cut during dismantling, in which case it should be swapped from your original engine. Water Pump will be attached but is recommended to be replaced with a brand new one (costs $30–$40) to eliminate most common overheating issues for the long run.
2
Included Free

Free Bolt-on Accessories

  • Intake manifolds
  • Exhaust manifolds
  • Water pumps
  • Sensors
  • Thermostats
  • Hoses
  • Seals
  • Timing belts
  • Spark plugs
  • Injectors
  • Gasket
  • Flywheel
  • Oil Pan
  • Distributors, etc.
i Bolt-on accessories are provided as free courtesy items for installation convenience. They are not sold as part of the purchase price and are not covered by the warranty — wear or defects on courtesy accessories do not constitute a defective engine.
Article V · Scope of Coverage

What's covered, and what isn't.

A direct, side-by-side ledger of what falls inside the warranty boundary — and what stays outside it. No fine print.

Inside the boundary

What's Covered?

Our warranty covers essential internal components only:

  • Engine block
  • Cylinder heads
  • Pistons
  • Crankshaft
  • Camshaft
  • Key internal moving parts
Coverage applies to verified internal defects or operational failure in these components within your warranty term, confirmed by a certified mechanic's diagnostic.
Outside the boundary

What's Not Covered?

  • External accessories (sensors, intake/exhaust manifolds, belts, Injectors, Hoses, Brackets, Oil pan etc.) are included for your convenience but not covered under warranty. Everything else, except what's covered, is not covered.
  • Warranty coverage is parts only. Labor is excluded unless previously approved in writing or purchased separately.
  • Any misuse or abuse — including activities such as racing or towing — as well as neglect, improper handling, or damage resulting from incorrect installation, unauthorized or unqualified repairs/modifications, are not covered.
  • Existing problems with the vehicle that will cause damage to the ordered part will also void the warranty.
  • The warranty excludes coverage for any delays, loss of time, transportation or towing expenses, or any related direct or indirect damages caused by a defect.
  • Leaks caused by old gaskets, filters, or seals are not covered.
  • Mileage discrepancies — mileage is provided to the best of our knowledge; the sale and warranty are based on the unit's tested condition, not exact mileage.
